Why, oh why does my scanner always make my lineart look pixilated?
I really love the concept behind this, but I don't think I executed it properly. This is why I need art school; to be able to make my poses flow realistically, memorize anatomical patterns (lol, elbowsss), and learn technical skill.
Also, it wouldn't have hurt to have had a lighter skin tone for her. This is the lightest I have without having her be grey.
I was attempting a storybook illustration feel. Kisara and her Blue Eyes are my favorite character and monster. Sorry, Thief King, but Kisara is better.
Drawn at the STFU Inc. table at Fanime '09. Prismacolors, pastls, and colored pencils.
Wow, that was so pritty! Kisara! ;.; Way before Battle City came along... I always joked about how the Blue Eyes were female dragons. I loved being proven right.
I am amazed with the Blue Eyes. o-o You did an amazing job! The folds of her clothes are so good, too. And I really, really like her knees and I don't know why. .__.; The shading on her legs is so realistic. *~* Hell, her skin is shaded very, very well. -loves on it-
The footpriiiiints, I envy you for being able to draw them so well. D: I should, you know, work on that. xD And th saaaand. I don't know what you did for it, but I like the grainy effect!
Only thing I can see is that her arms look a little short. Not by much, though! It's mainly her right (our left) one. The rest of her anatomy looks amazing.♥

I completely agree with you about those arms. xDD That's what I get for trying to do anatomy without a reference! But oh, I'll practice anatomy like smack until I'm able to draw properly without a ref.
8D Again, your comments alway boost my confidence. It's nice to know where I'm succeeding, and what to work on.♥
